SIX WEEKS OF PSP7
LESSONS
Six weeks of
lessons, they've gone so fast
Some easy, some hard, all were a blast!
....
We began with Selections, making signs,
bunnies and fences.
Then Plug-Ins and Filters to addle our
senses
Puddled, glared and painted our
incredible creations
Though some of mine were more suitable
for cremation.
Next, Working with Text... embossed,
misty and hilly.
We padded, cutout, blurred and wrote
in lines that were wavy.
Then we Dodged, Burned and Coloured with
the Retouch Tool
Replaced eyes and smudged flowers like
we're back in school.
Flamed text.... was quite simple once we
all got the gist
Of sweeping and flowing our mouse, not
with fingers, but wrist.
Image Arithmetic, the easiest of all
lessons that were given
Blending graphics that looked as if
created in Heaven.
Then we , Texturised backgrounds and made
our Text Glow
Again with Arithmetic we put on quite a
show..
Opened a window to paradise with the
little turtle
Unaware that into a dark pit we'd soon
hurtle.
Along came VECTORS, the holiday was over!
Frustration, confusion... we're no longer
in clover.
Tulips, plant pots, whole and then must
be broken
Heart and houses.... merely a token.
THE SHIP! This was the lesson that made
us all freak,
Vectoring hulls, masts and sails until we
were weak,
Re-reading instructions until we were
blind,
This tutorial sent a few of us out of our
mind.
Now, on to Colour Replacing.... it was
easy and fun
Again flowers and pots but just painting
.... ho hum...
Paint splats.... coloured with dots,
pastels and stripes
Paintings.... and graphics all changed
with no hype.
In our bliss we then Coloured apples
and flowers,
Made pretty buttons and trees that were
uniquely ours.
Created topiaries from our new found
leaves,
These lessons are back to being a
'breeze'.
Histograms.. a lesson which was truly a
delight,
Bringing our pathetic photos from
darkness to light
Had fun with 3D shapes though the tut was
obscure
Created clouds from a filter
and Icicles what's more!
Week 5 Custom Brushes, backgrounds and
frames
Brought forth creations worthy of fame.
Then Cloning which was used in several
ways
Adding objects to pictures or they'd
disappear in a haze.
We Cloned frames which were a sight
to behold
Some were in pastels some were more bold.
Each one divulging the creators' fine
talent
Presenting each graphic with their
personal accent.
Cleaning tubes was the next lesson on the
list,
This was one I wouldn't have wanted to
miss.
It showed how to make our pictures clean
and crisp
Stray pixels all gone.. not even a wisp.
Masks, ding bats and sine dots, the last
week we covered.
Again talent blossomed over and over,
Submissions were stunning as imaginations
let fly
Proving we all have hidden talent, we
just have to try.
Last lesson, Working With Palettes, this
stumped me for sure,
Guess I panicked.. just couldn't find
what I was looking for.
What difference does it make..Near Colour
or Error Diffusion?
It just succeeded in adding to my
total confusion.
Well, the lessons are over.... have come
to and end,
I'll miss the pressure but I've made lots
of new friends.
I know more about PSP7 than I did this
time last year,
This gives me a reason to stand up and
cheer.
Like some though... I never know when
enough is enough
I'm signing up again for the next
session, no matter how tough.
I know some of my class mates will be
joining me too,
In thanking Jenn and Phillip for all that
they do.
