| 3 OCTOBER 2011 - MONDAY Went for ultrasound in my right leg today... had to stand on one leg for an hour ... felt like a stork! From what they could see there is little or nothing wrong with my circulation... I could have told them that!! |

| 6 OCTOBER 2011 - THURSDAY More x-rays... more waste of time and money . Today I cancelled my 10 year, internet connection with Optusnet and got an Email Only account... Great.... I can keep my same email address.... saves a lot of hassles.
BUT
my new provider Southerncross Telco may take a few days to connect me... oops!!!!

20 OCTOBER 2011 - THURSDAY
Am going out for lunch today. Jason will be happy because the couple of wines I'll have at lunch will send me to sleep earlyand he'll be able to watch what he wants on TV tonight! LOL!! Haven't been to lunch for weeks. Was supposed to go last Thursday but I forgot.... oops...got the days mixed up. Marj turned up to collect me, I had to decline,would have taken too long to get ready. Fortunately she had other company so she didn't miss out. Healthwise... I've been to the Wounds Clinic... Teresa is back... YIPPEE! She was going to consult a doctor about my wound.... I told her I hoped it wasn't Jamie Roberts because if he comes near me I'd notbe responsible for my actions!! The punch biopsy he did showed NOTHING!!! I went through all the pain and stress for nothing! The swab showed miniscule bacteria !! She got hold of another doctor...(not Indian) who suggested a new procedure for the dressings. It doesn't hurt or sting. She gave me a supply of dressings etc to keep me going until next Wednesday.. for free. So all in all Tuesday was a great day.. got reconnected to the internet and had a 'friend' in the wounds clinic. |

27 OCTOBER 2011 -THURSDAY
Went to Occupational Therapy at the hospital... the therapist wants me to wear compression stockings... that ain't gonna happen any time soon. For a start they're too tight and I can't put them on and take them off without help. He persisted... I went home with one on my right leg... when I took it off I had deep welts on my ankle and food where the stocking crinkled. Phoned him and told him about the problem.... so he suggested I use a compression tube until the ulcer heals. Fine... but that's not going to make any difference with the stockings eventually unless he gives me a much larger size. Will talk about it in the new year. |
