Blank Letter Fix
(or how to see your email again)

First, following these instructions will result in losing any mail that is in the folder you are deleting.  If there is anything in the folder with the letter that is giving you trouble that you want to keep, you should move them to one of your other folders by dragging and dropping them where you want them.

After you have identified the folder with the letter that is giving you trouble (typically the inbox or deleted items folder) and move everything that you want to move, you need to close your IM by right-clicking on the little orange envelope in your task bar and choosing exit.

The little envelope will then disappear and your IM program will be closed.

Open up Windows Explorer and go to:

Once you are in the Message Store folder, you will see a bunch of files that should correspond to all of your folders in your IM.

Highlight the files that you will want to delete by holding down the CTRL key and left-clicking on each one.  There will be an .imm and an .imh file for each folder.  It is usually a good idea to also do the deleted items files while you are here as a letter stuck in there can eat up valuable space in your computer.  You can hold your mouse pointer over each one and  see the size of it.  If they are only a few KB's, they are okay, if they are very large and you know that you don't have a ton of letters in that folder, then you may have one in there that is preventing the others from deleting.

Once you have highlighted the files that you want to delete, copy and paste them to your desktop for safe keeping.  Then delete the files that you have highlighted.  Close your Windows Explorer and open your Incredimail.  When you open it, you should see all of your folders in their original spots and hopefully, everything will work as it is suppose to.  After you have assured that everything in your IM is working, you can delete the files on your desktop.  If something is not working correctly, put the files back where they belong.  I have done this several times without a problem but I have heard of others who did have issues afterward.
