Stopping Spam In Your Inbox

Here's an easy way to stop spam from getting to your inbox.

Open a yahoo mail account.  Use this account for ANYTHING online that
requires an email address. (This includes signing up for anything, and
"contact me" on your website) Use this account even for virus protection or
registering filters, programs, etc.  Many of those companies that you think
don't sell your email addy...do sell it, or share it with their "partners".
(Learned that in one of my internet classes *S*)

This has been working wonderfully for me since December 2003.  So far, no
spam has gotten to my other email accounts.

I check my yahoo account periodically, and if there is something I want to
keep, I forward it to my private addy.
(don't add your private addy to the yahoo address book!)

I use my private email boxes for groups and classes, etc., and have had no
spam come into them.

This is a lot easier than trying to train a program, or mess with filter
settings :)
