This tutorial is my own conception. Any resemblance to any other is purely unintentional.

Sometimes you will receive a letter that has a great sound file you want to save but there will be no Save button. How do you get the sound file? The sound files can be found in your IncrediMail Runtime Message file. I have a shortcut to this file on my desktop so I can get to it faster to save sounds I want. This might look hard, but once you do it a couple of times it will be very fast.

1. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Local Settings\Application Data\IM\Runtime\Message

2. Once you find the Message folder you will see lots of other folders with long numbers and letters behind them. These are the messages you have already opened.

3. On the menu bar at the top, click on the Views icon and select the Details View.

4. Click on the Date Modified so you will have the most recent message at the top. You might need to click twice to get the most recent date and time at the top. Once you have done this you won’t need to do it again. This makes it much easier for you to find your last opened message.

5. Click on the folder icon of your last modified message to open it.

6. You will see another folder that says Show. Click on it and you will see all the parts of the stationery. NO SAVING OF ANYTHING BUT THE SOUND FILE because that is ripping and is not a nice thing to do without the creator’s approval.

7. Find the Sound file. Do not confuse it with the SndImage icon that looks like a bull horn. The sound file will have the name of the sound.

8. Right click on the sound file and Save As to your music files or wherever else you can find it easily.

9. Back in IM you can open a new message and click on the Sounds folder in your Style Box.

10. Click on the Add button at the bottom left of the Style Box.

11. Locate the sound file that you saved and click OK.

12. The sound will download into your Style Box where it will be ready to use whenever you want.
