How
to Add Fonts to IncrediMail

If you
create letters, you want them to look just right.
This includes having the perfect font.
IncrediMail does not make this process fun.
Adding fonts is a very boring, rather
laborious task, but a necessary evil.
Note: This procedure is for
getting fonts imbedded into letters you create.
As long as a font is in the appropriate
system folder, you will be able to see fonts in
letters others have created.
1. Okay, first thing you need to to is open your
system font folder (or wherever it is you keep
your fonts).
In Windows, this will be something like
C:/Windows/Fonts, C:/Win98/Fonts, or
C:/WinNT/Fonts. Something similar to that.
2. Now you need to open the IncrediMail font
file. It is cleverly named
"fonts.txt" and is located in the
C:/Program Files/IncrediMail/Data folder.
3. Now positon your system font folder and
your IncrediMail text file side by side on your
desktop.
4. When you see a font you want to install,
double click on it.
5. The Typeface name, circled in red in the
screenhot above, is what you need to type into
your fonts.txt file. Type it wherever you
wish (you might want to alphabetize, you might
not), but make sure it is typed exactly like it
is on your font preview. It is case
sensitive.
Note: Sometimes the Typeface name is the same as
the name you see in your windows system folder,
and sometimes it isn't. You really do need
to preview the font by double clicking it to make
sure you are typing the correct name.
6. Save your text file, and that's it! The
font will be in Letter Creator next time you open
it.
Seems simple, right? Try doing it for
thousands of fonts! If you plan on having
an extensive list of fonts, see if you can beg a
fonts.txt list off of someone else. If they
have fonts listed that you don't have, it won't
have any effect.
Good luck!
